The TACO BELL SHOOTOUT on Tuesday, November 19th at Vista Vallarta is available for all teams arriving early and staying at the Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa on Monday night prior to the Double Eagle Invitational Pro-Am. This is a two-person, alternate shot, Pro-Am Shootout. The professional plus one amateur teammate will be ‘flighted’ into 6 groupings and play two designated holes. The winners of each grouping will advance to the finals. The finals will be held on holes #17 and #18 of the Weiskopf Course at Vista Vallarta. Full tournament rules and details will be forwarded to all competitors.

Professionals on the 6 teams reaching the ‘finals’ will be awarded prize money out of the total purse of $7,500. Team awards and distribution of buy-in proceeds will be distributed to the leading six teams. This also includes those amateurs team members not competing in the Tuesday Shootout.
Divisions
The field will be divided into six flight divisions based on the handicap of the amateur participant. Each division will play a 2-hole ‘qualifier’. The winning team in each ‘qualifier’ will proceed to the finals. Qualifying events will be held on designated holes to be determined. A tournament official will accompany each qualifying match.
Qualifying competition
The professional will tee off on the 1st hole of the qualifying match. Professionals play from their tournament tee (based on the age of the professional). Teams will alternate shots until the 1st hole is completed. The amateur participant will tee off on the 2nd hole of the qualifying match. Amateur tees will be staggered on this hole, based on the handicap of the amateur. Play will all be at scratch (no strokes deducted from total score). Following completion of the 2nd qualifying hole, the winners will be determined.
Final competition
The six qualifying teams will meet on the 17th tee of the Weiskopf Course to compete in the final competition. The same format will be used, with the #18 hole being the final hole played.
Prize money
Professionals will receive prize money if they reach the final competition.

Entry Fee
The only entry fee for the Shootout is a $150.00 team buy-in, which will be 100% paid out. The top six teams will share the balance of the funds as follows (based on the total money collected from participating teams):
1st place: 35%
2nd place: $25%
3rd place: 16%
4th – 6th place: 8% each.
All team participants on the leading 6 teams (regardless if they are the amateur ‘chosen’ to represent the team) will be awarded prizes and share in the ‘team buy-in’ payout.
Tuesday practice rounds
Tuesday’s practice round is an 8:00 am shotgun, followed by lunch. The round is followed by the 2:00 pm Shootout at Vista Vallarta for those who wish to participate. No other times are available due to course preparation and the Tuesday Taco Bell Shootout at Vista Vallarta. Amateur practice round fees for Tuesday are $195 for either course. Transportation, lunch, beer, margaritas, and soft drinks are also provided for all players on Tuesday included in the practice round fee for this day.
